Harriet Miers

Once again, Bush is demonstrates that it's not what you know but rather who you know. Apparently he didn't learn from "Brownie"... But then again, where would Bush be if it weren't for his name and family connections? He never would have made it into Yale, wouldn't have gotten out of serving in Vietnam, never would have maed it into Harvard Business School, etc. Check out Bush's resume.

Other than being a close personal friend of Bush (and being a lawyer), Miers has no qualifications to serve on the Supreme Court. Isn't it the right that always says the best person should get the job? How is someone with neither judicial nor constituional law experience qualified for the top court? It's also funny that her backers are pushing her religious faith to convince other conservatives to support her--weren't they saying a few weeks ago that a person's religion should not be a factor in Supreme Court nominations?
