I used to like CNN
CNN used to be a good news source. I didn't mind it when they repeated the same news over and over. But then things took a turn for worse when they started trying to find news, picking up small stories from affiliates across the country. I think that's why everyone thinks we're a country of pedophiles because of all the stories about kids disappearing. I question whether America is statistically any more dangerous for kids today than it was 30 years ago when I was growing up.
Now we have a war in Iraq and the potential for the Israeli-Hezbollah conflict turning into WWIII and CNN is covering JonBenet Ramsey. I'm sorry about what happened to her but there are a few other world events that will have much more impact on our world tomorrow.
I wonder how much magazines like People and Us have also trained people to pay more attention to who some celebrity is sleeping with rather than some wars that have killed thousands?
