Day 1 as a Boat Owner
Not sure if it was legally the first day, but it was the first day that Dave and I--with a little help--drove our boat to it's new home. Early on, it didn't look like the trip was going to happen when we couldn't get the port engine started. We eventually got it started and although we ran into a few other issues, the boat is now safely docked in it's new slip. I was warned about the cost of gas on the water and at $5/gallon with a boat that guzzles gas like a fraternity empties a keg; we may have to put out a gas money collection. That said, I'm looking forward to my first summer as a boat owner.
