Last month my computer started turning itself off or not even turning on. Before that I had experienced a strange phenomenon where my cursor would move to the corners of my screen by itself. Well it turns out that I'm a victim of bulging capacitors which is an industry wide problem. Luckily mine iMac was covered under an Apple repair extension program at no cost to me.
I dropped my computer off at the Apple Store on a Saturday afternoon and they told me it might be 2-3 days before it was ready. While I was worried about how far I would get behind on work, I was actually excited about how much other work I would get done (e.g. organizing my desk and life). Alas, I got a call that evening that my computer was ready and I picked it up that night to avoid weekend traffic at the mall on Sunday.
It's been a while since I've blogged, just been too busy and blogging wasn't a priorty. I'm starting to get a little caught up--or maybe just less behind--so here's something that took up most of 2006 for me. I had both my upstairs bathrooms remodeled. Even though I had a contractor doing the work, it was still a big time suck for me making every little decision. Here are some photos--unfortunately I didn't take any before photos and I wasn't consistent with my camera angles.

(imagine the same ugly countertop as the other vanity)

Here are some product links for anyone remodeling a bathroom. I didn't use them all but they're worth a look.
